Family Movie Night at Library Thursday, May 30

The Fort Morgan Public Library will hold a free family movie night on Thursday, May 30, starting at 6 p.m. in the Children’s Library. The animated feature “The Lego Movie 2” will be shown and all ages are welcome to attend.

Snacks and juice will be served during the movie and patrons are encouraged to wear pajamas and bring pillows and blankets.

There is no registration required and no cost.

Youth Summer Reading Launches June 6 at Library

The 2019 Fort Morgan Public Library Summer Reading Program will launch on Thursday, June 6, at 1:30 p.m. This year’s theme is “Space: A Universe of Stories.”

This program is designed for children ages 6-12, and no registration is required. Join the library staff at the kickoff session on June 6 to learn more about the Summer Reading Program and schedule of events!

Museum Exhibit Chronicles Building of Sugar Factory

A new display in the Fort Morgan Museum’s Lower Gallery shows in vintage photographs the hectic pace of construction on the Western Sugar factory over nine months in 1906.

“Construction of the Great Western Sugar Factory: A Photographic Journey During 1906” opens Saturday, May 11, and will remain on exhibit until June 22.
