Advertising on Public Property
Section 11-1-10 of the City
prohibits any type of advertising on public property.
Here are some examples:
Using the sidewalk or right of way for billboards or other advertising.
Using the sidewalk, right of way, or city utility poles to post signs.
Such as Garage Sales, Benefits, Business Sales, etc.
Alleyways, public buildings and property to include items on that property.
Although most of us wouldn't think twice about putting up a sign for a benefit, auction, or a garage sale, it is against the City Ordinance to use public property for advertising.
