Pavement Patching to Close Streets This Week

Several different streets around Fort Morgan will be affected by temporary closures this week as pavement patching work is completed.

The patching will place a new asphalt surface on areas where pavement had broken out or been cut and excavated for underground utility work.

Rec Dept. to Welcome Fall with Free Outdoor Movie Night

Everyone is invited to celebrate the first official day of fall with a free outdoor movie night at City Park on Friday, Sept. 22.

The City of Fort Morgan’s Recreation Department will be showing “The LEGO Batman Movie” on the giant, inflatable movie screen. There will also be games and free popcorn.

Deadline Approaching for Youth Basketball Registration

The Fort Morgan Recreation Department is registering kids and teams now for the 2017 Youth Basketball program.

The registration deadline is Sept. 30, and a special Youth Basketball Registration Party will be held Friday evening, Sept. 29, from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Armory Recreation Center. Come register that day and enjoy snacks and drinks, and shoot some hoops!

Court Computer System to be Unavailable Sept. 22-25

Due to a scheduled software upgrade, the Fort Morgan Municipal Court will have limited access to its computer system and databases from Friday, Sept. 22, through Monday, Sept. 25.

It is possible that the computer system outage could last longer depending on how the upgrade proceeds.

The court should still be able to accept payments during this time and provide handwritten receipts. Other services are likely to unavailable.
